We're just a bunch of nerds that like to play around with obsolete technology. |

func_arena started as an idea and a prototype in 2005, which I ended up abandoned like a lot of other projects. Most of the backend was done, almost nothing of the design, so it dended up just dying slowly.
Sometime in 2026, after a conversation with Sprony about another project, I dug up an old HDD and found the func_arena prototype. And then I decided to finally finish it. Not just finish it, but maintain it and keep it working as if it was 2005, because well, my taste in games hasn't changed and I'm still enjoying those same games.
This website is dedicated to tinkering with old game engines, modding, coding, mapping, and creating new games on top of the same bones as the old ones. It could be seen as archeology, preservation, or just damn fun.

Started func_arena in 2005, abandoned it, dug it back up in 2026. Keeps the site running.
